  • Sarasota’s Alpine Steakhouse was named one of Florida’s top steakhouses on Dec. 21 by USA TODAY Network for its quality and affordable, hand-cut steaks. The family-run landmark on S.   • Florida football coach Jon Sumrall is set to hire four assistants from Tulane as he fills his new staff.   • Andrew Carrillo (a senior midfielder/forward at The Out-of-Door Academy) was named East County Athlete of the Week after scoring nine goals in nine games to boost his Thunder's 6-3 start.
