Longboat Key Fitness is expanding by connecting to an empty 1,300 square foot unit next door—designed to offer a new stretch and massage program.
Owner Petar Sibinkic said lead therapist Chris Watts from Motion Dynamics will guide the active isolated stretching program, and the expansion will be complete by the end of the year.
Local artist Janet Peavy debuted her shell-based art and hosted a meet-and-greet at Three Island Monkeys—she drew inspiration from the ocean as she turned her career from shipping logistics to creating detailed ornaments.
Peavy collected shells from local beaches, including those found by her daughter, and has recently joined local art shows to connect with the community.
On November 28, three regional final high school football games took place in the area — Booker played Nature Coast, Cardinal Mooney faced Lakewood, and Venice aimed for its fifth straight win while Manatee met Riverdale.
Fans followed live updates and replays as local teams fought for spots in the state Final Four.
