- ➤ On November 16, a Venice Police officer reported a disabled boat about 35 miles west of Venice — and an Air Station Miami crew rescued eight stranded boaters at 9:32 p.m. — while officials advised boaters to carry proper safety gear. FOX 13

- ➤ The Siesta Key Crystal Classic Sandsculpting Festival will be held at Siesta Key—offering visitors a chance to see intricate sand sculptures by skilled artists and enjoy a unique creative event. ABC 7
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Braden River High’s Marching Band of Pirates won first place in the 3A division—earning Grand Champions of the 1-3A Divisions—at the state championships in Winter Garden, led by their Drum Majors and Captains. The Florida Sports Hall of Fame’s 2025 celebration will be held at the Bradenton Area Convention Center and will honor local sports icons such as Sarasota High coach Clyde Metcalf.
