- ➤ Starting Dec. 1, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is launching its annual toy drive to collect new, unwrapped toys and gift cards for Teen Court, the All Star Children's Foundation, the Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office, and other groups. Donations can be made daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the headquarters — 6010 Cattleridge Blvd — or on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the South County Office in Venice, and items may also be ordered from the Sheriff's Office Amazon Wishlist.
