- ➤ Parrish United Methodist Church is hosting a distribution drive to supply essential items for local families in need. Church representatives said the event will allow residents to pick up supplies later this week—providing support where it is needed most. ABC 7
- ➤ Knights of Columbus hosted the 7th annual Car Show and Cookout at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Lakewood Ranch on Nov. 1 to raise donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, with about 150 car enthusiasts in attendance. Grand Knight Gordon Shellhaas said the group hopes to raise about $13,000 this year for the hospital. Observer
- ➤ On Nov. 1, the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch hosted the 23rd Suncoast Food and Wine Fest at Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, drawing nearly 2,000 guests and showcasing food samples from over 50 local restaurants. More than $150,000 was raised for community grants with help from over 200 Rotarians who volunteered before, during, and after the event. Observer
