Big Dreams Through Small Steps partnered with Goodwill Manasota to expand its Bridge Abilities program — a program that will refurbish and distribute wheelchairs, walkers, and other medical equipment to local residents with disabilities and chronic conditions facing financial challenges.

New College of Florida has partnered with Florida State University to expand its study-abroad program; students can now study at FSU’s four international centers and other global locations with in-state tuition and seamless credit transfers.

So far, 43 students have studied in more than 25 countries and the partnership offers more global experience — the first student body president was elected at the Florence center — as opportunities broaden.

Organizers announced the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Sarasota to support research and survivors — additional details such as the route and start time will be released soon.
