Dreamers Academy welcomed its 108 new kindergarten students on Friday to give them a one-day head start before classes resume Monday, helping families adjust as parents walked their children to classrooms & joined a breakfast meeting with school leaders.
Sarasota County schools earned A or B ratings for the 23rd year in a row as Superintendent Terry Connor announced that four elementary schools will switch to K-8 and the Gulf Coast Academy will offer new tech programs (the teacher surplus dropped from 136 to the teens).
