- ➤ Manatee County deputies said an elderly couple, Anthony Evans (89) and Lois Evans (88), were found dead with a single gunshot wound each in the front yard of their home on Treymore Court today at 10:30 a.m., and investigators said a recovered note indicates the murder-suicide was premeditated. - ➤ Booker High student Nya Chambless debuted her 25-minute short film 'My Guardian Angel' at the Sarasota Film Festival on April 12, a tribute to her pre-K friend Teeja who died of cancer on New Year’s Day.
