- ➤ High school baseball teams in Sarasota and Manatee counties started the 2025 FHSAA district tournament on Monday with quarterfinal games — championship games will be held Thursday — as local teams earned byes after strong regular season wins. Sarasota Herald-Tribune
- ➤ The U21 Golf Croquet World Championship started on April 14 at Wellfield Park in Venice and will run until April 18 as players take turns to score the next hoop. Twenty-eight international competitors, including six from the United States, are showing their skill in this unique sport. ABC 7
- ➤ Tomorrow at Lakewood National Golf Club, 156 professional golfers will tee off in the LECOM Suncoast Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour as they compete for a $1 million purse and a $240,000 top prize on Saturday.
