- ➤ Local volunteers and members of SRQ Vets built a five-hour ramp at John Skeen’s Bradenton home on Sunday to help the 106-year-old World War II veteran who uses a wheelchair. - ➤ Rod N’ Reel Pier is relocating to a storefront in the middle of Anna Maria Island after storms damaged its original 75-year-old building—owner Oliver Lemke said the new location will serve while efforts to rebuild the pier continue with no opening date set. ABC 7
