GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Nearly six months after Hurricane Milton hit the Suncoast, FEMA has 1,200 representatives on the ground to help survivors with applications, inspections, and guidance on community programs — they have approved $1.53 billion in individual aid and $1.62 billion in public repairs, reimbursed $425 million for debris removal, and provided sheltering assistance to 13,634 people. ABC 7
- ➤ Florida lawmakers are looking at a bill that would let employers pay less than the minimum wage by calling some jobs internships, apprenticeships or work-based learning opportunities.
