A celebration of life was held Saturday afternoon at Venice Presbyterian Church to honor two Agape Flights volunteer pilots who died in a February Haiti crash; family, friends and colleagues gathered to remember their decades of service in both aviation and firefighting and to celebrate their lasting impact.

The Sarasota Wine Festival took place Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Selby Five Points Park and featured wines, live music and food trucks — the event benefited Operation Warrior Resolution, a nonprofit that supports local veterans with holistic wellness programs.

Spectrum Sailing's Next Tack program held a regatta race Saturday in Sarasota Bay, giving autistic youth a chance to improve sailing and social skills.

The eight-week pilot program paired kids with experienced peer mentors & is expected to expand to more cities.
