- ➤ The county will host a free cleanup in Kensington Park on April 5 from 8 a.m. until noon with dumpsters available at multiple sites including Tee Road and Tee Lane. Francis who was last seen on Thursday around 12 p.m. near Martin Street and South Tuttle Avenue—she is 5'1, has brown hair and hazel eyes, and wore jean shorts, white sneakers and a black sweater with yellow writing that said Up North Traverse City Michigan. - ➤ Florida State University has run The Ringling for 25 years and now may hand over management to New College at Gov. DeSantis’s request. - ➤ In February, the Library Foundation for Sarasota County hosted its 13th annual Love Our Libraries Author Luncheon at The Ora, where bestselling author Ann Patchett addressed 600 guests and raised a record $509,240 to support public libraries. - ➤ Sarasota County is partnering with WSP—using a $14.5 million federal grant—to restore Alligator Creek from U.S. 41 to Venice East Boulevard and stabilize eroded banks while improving water flow.
