- ➤ Temple Beth Israel members joined a guided tour of the free Embracing Our Differences exhibit at Sarasota Bayfront Park on March 13. The outdoor art show — featuring 50 billboard-sized prints from around the world — now offers Saturday tours at 10 a.m.— registration is required for groups. Observer
- ➤ On March 12, Sarasota Jungle Gardens hosted Hello Pretty Bird at historic Leonard Reid House in Newtown, where parrots performed interactive acts for local students from Star Lab and Precious Jewels Academy Learning Centers (which celebrated community heritage). - ➤ On Tuesday, Mar. 17, gas prices in Florida jumped by about 13 cents overnight, pushing regular gasoline above $4 in West Palm Beach-Boca Raton while Sarasota-area stations averaged about $3.91 — AAA data shows the surge was driven by supply issues linked to the Iran war. Sarasota Herald-Tribune

- ➤ February data shows Sarasota’s single-family sales increased 6.1% to 625 with a 5% price drop to $475,000, while condo sales jumped 35.9% amid high inventory; meanwhile, Manatee’s single-family sales rose 10% with a 2.9% price increase.
