  • Sarasota police debuted a 28‑foot mobile Learning Center on Jan. 9 at Police Department Headquarters, equipped with iPads, a smartboard, over 200 books, and classroom supplies to support school field trips in North Sarasota in partnership with Sarasota County Schools — officers said they hope the classroom inspires youth engagement.  Sarasota Herald-Tribune
  • Jessica Muroff is now president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County after six years at United Way Suncoast — she aims to boost data-driven collaboration among nonprofits and donors to strengthen disaster recovery.   • Ringling College Galleries is unveiling Origins, an exhibition that explores how Sarasota became an artist colony after World War II by featuring paintings and artifacts from local pioneers like Hartman and Berg.   • Despite temperatures dipping into the 30s this week, Sarasota locals gathered early Friday morning at Siesta Beach for sunrise yoga and quiet walks.
