- ➤ On Thursday night in Gulf Gate near Bispham Road, Andrew Nibley's routine walk turned tragic when two unleashed pitbulls attacked his dogs, killing his English Setter Diana and biting his Carin Terrier while injuring him, prompting deputies to shoot one pitbull and treat the victims. FOX 13

- ➤ The Sarasota Ballet will present the world premiere of The Waiting Room by choreographer Gemma Bond from January 30 to February 2 at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts, with tickets starting at $35. Observer
